Yoga meets you exactly where you are at and will take you someplace you have never been before.
My name is Bridget Bulmer, creator and owner of Thunder Dragon Creations. I am a Yoga guide, Artist, Author, Creative Being and Herbalist in the making!
I am happy to announce several new 6-week series that will be available mid-December 2025! These include, Happy Back, Peaceful Yogi, Humble Warrior and Snatched Dragon. The intention behind each course is to share practices that have been integral throughout my journey thus far and to help people find peace and alignment in their Minds & Bodies!
My Yoga practice began over 12 years ago after a couple of low back surgeries. Yoga asanas (poses) were instrumental in my physical recovery and living a life free of pain. I am now able to move in a way where I was previously limited and am much more conscious and mindful of ways to keep my back happy and my Body strong, capable and thriving. After a full recovery attributable to Yoga, I kept returning to my mat for the peacefulness I was experiencing in my Mind, as well as, the radical love and self-acceptance growing between my Body and Mind.
One day in savasana (corpse pose), I had an out-of-body experience that encouraged me to pursue my 200hr YTT in Bali, Indonesia with School Yoga Institute (SYI) in 2018. Around this same time, I began making artwork with paint and chalk as a way to express myself and release emotions without using words. I noticed a sense of almost instant relief after each creation and I honestly never had any expectation or self-pressure to create something “beautiful.” Over time this freedom to express myself via artwork became a regular practice and a non-negotiable. There are many pieces I cannot even believe that I was capable of making, and many that look like a 4-year old made them! They are all important because they embody certain aspects of my healing, journey and Soul.
I first began teaching a Yoga & Art Embodiment class as a volunteer to the women population at Chicago’s Federal Prison. I felt called to share ancient wisdom and practices to individuals who could most benefit from Yoga, but whom did not have access. I wanted them to be able to experience release, expression, greater understanding, and maybe a little bit of pride through different art mediums.
This led me to study Trauma-Informed Yoga, which is incorporated into all of the classes and courses I teach. 9 out of 10 people will experience a traumatic event at some point in their lifetime and a regular Yoga practice offers so many tools to utilize on the road to physical, mental and emotional recovery, in addition to nervous system regulation. Some techniques include different asana (poses) and pranayama (breathing) specific to soothing the vagus nerve (a large nerve in the Body responsible for stress responses), curating a safe space and mindfulness of language cues and asanas. Each class available in the 6-week course series will have a Trauma-Informed note explaining anything to be especially mindful of. All classes offer a variety of options to encourage students to practice in the way that feels best for them!
My own current practice is focused on the Tantric Yoga tradition and philosophy after another training with SYI. Tantra is an alignment of view, motive and action and was developed as a Yoga practice that could be available to “house-holders.” In Tantra, perspective is rooted through the lens of non-duality. Tantra offers a vast variety of tools, methods and daily practices for individuals committed to the spiritual path towards enlightenment without needing to completely renounce their current way of Life. This tradition is woven into each of the 6-week course series. Yoga will ALWAYS meet you exactly where you are at and take you someplace you have never been before!
In 2024 I journeyed to the sacred valley of Peru for a 300hr YTT with SYI. The Incan traditions are kept very much alive and there is a deep reverence for the natural World (Pachamama) that is uncanny. My 300hr training had an emphasis on Ayurveda, which is the science of longevity. Anything the Body needs to be healthy and brought into balance can be curated with plants and herbs from the Earth. Together, Yoga (for the Mind) and Ayurveda (for the Body) form a beautiful union. Introductions to this wisdom is incorporated into each of my course series as well!
I am an avid candle maker and more recently have been concocting natural fragrances and lotions. My intention is to have various herbal essences available for y’all halfway through 2026. In addition to practicing Yoga and Meditation, I love to cook vegetarian meals, boulder, create art, dance, drum, dream, make candles & herbal remedies, read, write, learn, love, hike and explore Pachamama and all of her beauty!

While I first fell in love with Bridget’s yoga classes in-person, before the pandemic, I have been impressed by her ability to bring the same positive energy, warmth, intention and community to her online classes. Whether it’s in-person or virtual, practicing yoga with Bridget has been a true gift to not only my physical wellness, but also my mental and emotional well-being.”

“I’ve had the pleasure of practicing Yoga with Bridget for over a year now! Since I started working with her I have come to understand my practice at a deeper level as well as find the strength to push myself mentally and physically in her classes. I attribute those personal achievements almost entirely to the encouragement and guidance Bridget provides as a teacher! Every time I finish one of her classes I feel refreshed and ready to take on whatever the rest of my day brings!”

“I’ve attended Bridget’s classes virtually and in-person, and am always able to focus on the yoga due to the amazing atmosphere she sets via music, incense, and simply her tone of voice and calmness. I’m a fan of the Yin in particular, as someone who is sitting down, typing, etc.. all day, I find it incredibly healing and re-energizing.”
